One of the reasons for joining the DSA is to network with others interested in geospatial matters in the Defence arena. These blogs offer an easy way to do that. Don't just lurk in the shadows expecting someone else to make all the running. Put your head above the parapet and write something. It can be a question to an experienced and interested community, a comment on or link to something that may be of interest to other members, or a picture that might stir memories in other members. And, of course, comment and reply on what others post. As the great Tom Lehrer almost said "The DSA is like a sewer. What you get out of it depends on what you put into it". Actually, I think he was talking about Life, but the message still holds - please get involved!

As Chris notes in his blog, the DSA is there to help network across the whole geospatial and geographic communities. After the past 18 months of limited engagement through the Covid-19 pandemic, these blogs offer an added dimension to networking, especially where travel and personal engagement remain difficult, if not impossible for many. Your thoughts would be most welcome across the wide range of DSA interests so start writing your blogs.
